Facade design for a wooden furniture factory spanning 10,000 sq. m.
Furniture manufacturing plant — architecture thesis project, 4th year, UACEG. Supervisor: asst. prof. arch. K. Popov.
The undulating timber envelope of the industrial volume is more than an aesthetic choice — it acts as a sunshade protecting the glazed surfaces from direct sunlight, and as a passive cooling element.
The choice of wood is deliberate — a direct reference to the factory's core activity: manufacturing case and upholstered furniture. Architecture and function intertwine into a narrative of craft, sustainability, and connection to nature.
Full architectural documentation — site plan, floor plans, section, and elevations at 1:200 scale, presented as part of the thesis project.
